“Fira di Quatorg” – Feast of the Santa Croce (September)

In the second weekend of September, the traditional Fair of S. Croce, traditionally called ‘Fira de Quatorg’, takes place in the charming medieval village.

It is undoubtedly the most heartfelt festival of the Verucchiesi, characterised by the scent and flavours of the past. Originally reserved mainly for goods and livestock, today it also fills the streets with stalls with a varied presentation of typical local products and crafts.

The old trades, the country customs of the village, farm animals, agricultural tools, farmyard games, the “Faith and Tradition” exhibition, live music, a cake competition and many cultural events promoted by the municipality and local associations are also on display.

A great firework display concludes the S. Croce Festival with the evocative burning of the Rocca Malatestiana.
